Hey folks. Gonna try to have a little get-together in April. We'll have half off the normal price to ride the park so $10 a day in the park and $5 to primitive camp. If you need an RV site or hookups that'll be more. Just try to book ahead of time for that. To get your discount use code (code to be announced) when booking online or just let them know you're with the Cub Mtn Run when checking in at the office.
Please be mindful of the park rules listed on their website.
The park is 1900 acres with over 30 miles of single track, as well as other 2 track trails.
Outside the park there's a mix of good back roads and some twisty pavement. I'm gonna try to explore the single track one day and do another day outside the park if anybody is interested, just depends. I've got a buddy or two that might be able to lead as well should we have a group large enough to need split up.
This is a pay to camp and BYOB type event (no glass of any kind please and no alcohol on the trails) so no meals or swag will be provided, but there is a concession stand as well as a killer bologna sandwich down the road at Tays Grocery. West Fork General Store also has some good offerings for an out-of-the-park ride or you can head for Livingston, Jamestown, or Monterey for more options.
If you're coming in with a trailer or especially an RV, come in from Monterey. The switchbacks coming up Cub Mtn are about as tight as it gets.
Let us know if you aim to be there. If it does well maybe we can make it a regular thing
