Description:
The South Carolina Adventure Route (SCAR) is a 1,000-mile loop designed to showcase the diverse geography of South Carolina—ranging from coastal lowlands to the Appalachian mountains.
Here is the quick breakdown of what makes it unique:
The Mix: It’s a 50/50 split of paved backroads and unpaved dirt/gravel trails.
Accessibility: It is designed to be "big bike friendly," meaning it’s manageable for large adventure motorcycles (like a BMW GS or Africa Twin) as long as you have the right tires.
The Experience: Because of urban development, it blends remote, rural exploration with accessible travel through the state’s changing geological zones.
Navigation: A GPX file is essential here to ensure you don't miss the dirt transitions that link the different regions together.
This is a self guided tour at your own risk on your own bike. Please note that road conditions can change, and please be respectful of public roads so other can enjoy this route in the future. Usdualsports is in no way responsible for your riding skills and how you use this GPX file.
