10 Signs Your Addicted To Dual Sport/Adventure Riding

Here are the 10 Signs You’re Addicted to Dual-Sport Riding (the ones every DR650/WR250R/CRF300L/DRZ-400/KTM-500 owner will painfully nod along to):

1. You own more knobby tires than street shoes.
And you know the difference between a Shinko 244 and a Dunlop D-606 by smell alone.

2. Your idea of “date night” is a 300-mile gravel loop with your significant other on the back.
Bonus points if you’ve ever said, “Babe, just lean with me through this turn”

3. You’ve named your bike.
And you talk to it when it won’t start (“Come on, Jennifer, not today…”).

4. Your browser history is 90% “how to lower DR650,” “Best motorcycle GPS” and “will a 14T front sprocket make my KLR faster ?”

5. You get genuinely mad when someone calls your bike a “dirt bike with plates.”
It’s a DUAL-SPORT, Chad. There’s a difference.

6. You’ve spent more on add-ons like seats, crash bars, panniers, and bark busters than you did on your first car.

7. You flinch every time you hear “singletrack closed or that gravel road got paved.”
And you’ve written at least one angry text to your riding buddies.

8. Your phone background is a photo of your bike or has a bike in it.
Lock screen? A close-up of your muddy rear knobby.

9. You’ve used the excuse “I’m just going for a quick ride” and came back 4 hours later covered in dust with a cracked fairing and a huge grin.

10. You’ve seriously considered quitting your job to ride the Trans-American trail or multiple BDRs.
And you already have the resignation letter drafted.

If you checked 7 or more, congratulations, you’re not getting out alive. See you on the trail. Let’s hear how you know you’re addicted to dual sport adventure riding. Comment below.

Still addicted to DS but has already led to the next level of addiction, I started learning how to navigate using a Rally RoadBook and doing Rally events with the OffPisteAdventure group out of Manhattan Kansas 🏁🏁🏁

If you look at my Christmas items on my list with links you would know I’m addicted.
